Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) devices have been utilized extensively in the field of orthopedic surgery as a means of providing postoperative patients with assive (assisted) range of motion in the affected joint. Typically, CPM devices are designed to aid in early healing and revention of postoperative joint stiffness by duplicating anatomically correct motion.

This CPM elbow device provides passive motion of the elbow joint, with or without synchronized pronation/supination, and displays a 135 degree range of motion. This device is not only safe and reliable built with locking wheels and a rigid carriage, but it can also be conveniently used in a bed or chair.

Features and benefits include:

  • variable speed control
  • lockable ROM setting
  • 24V D.C. System
  • U.L. listed components

When passive motion is indicated, the elbow CPM therapy may be used for the treatment of all injuries and diseases of the elbow, which limit movement of the joint. Using this device as post-operative treatment provides an effective deterrent to stiffness and loss of range of motion. Specific indications are: synovectomies, surgical releases, arthroplasty, open reduction and internal fixation of intra-articular fractures, contusions, flexor-extensor muscle repairs, and motion retention during burn treatment.
